rooted! | sitcom pilot

"A group of hopeless, borderline crazy dreamers try their best to make it in Hollywood while living in a dilapidated house and struggling to pay rent."

My role:     Creator, Lead Writer, Executive Producer

Stage:        Post-Production

Director:     Rehman Ahmed

Writers:      Sammie Eastwood, E. Miguel Gervs & Winnie Khaw

Cast:          Kevin Toy, Tatiana Robledo, Earl Franklin, Lee Pena,

                Anna Pena, Byron Franco

Studio:        In the House Films

Medium:     Indie Sitcom Pilot, 30-min Comedy

Summary:

An offbeat sitcom set in a crumbling Hollywood house, where a group of hopelessly eccentric dreamers (actors, composers, VFX-Artists) struggle to make it big.

Inspired by the sharp wit and absurdity of British comedies like Spaced, Black Books and The IT Crowd these misfits strive for their big break while barely avoiding eviction.

Between bizarre auditions, chaotic shenanigans, wrestling matches and chasing dreams that never quite pan out, they cling to the hope they’ll finally make it… if they don’t destroy each other first.
