Obsidian Elephant launches new fiction podcast series - GLITCH: Twisted Tech Tales

The one-creator studio behind Personal Demon: A YA Horror Series expands with a tech-horror anthology of short stories presented by an unreliable “AI” narrator.
GLITCH: Twisted Tech Tales, a tech-horror anthology, starring “sentience-adjacent cognition unit” Conn.1e (voiced by creator Sammie Eastwood), launched on 28 January.
GLITCH is Obsidian Elephant’s first anthology series, exploring standalone stories within a shared narrative framework.
Using tech-focused morality tales and a futuristic AI framing device, the show takes a satirical look at modern life and the dangers of unfettered innovation.
Each episode presents a self-contained story, with commentary that gradually reveals more about Conn.1e and the nefarious organisation she serves.
The listener is asked to step into the role of observer, the human companion tasked with overseeing Conn.1e’s operations as she “absorbs auditory artefacts, reconstructs missing segments and identifies behavioural signatures” in the form of audio packages for the benefit of the unknowable, but no less unnerving, GLITCH Industries.
All is not as it seems…
This podcast series will take the form of mini-arcs released monthly, and while these are mostly unrelated in nature, each instalment reveals more about Conn.1e’s purpose and the ultimate goals of GLITCH’s mission to gather knowledge and map human intelligence.
GLITCH: Twisted Tech Tales is the second podcast created by Obsidian Elephant Productions, an independent studio that specialises in audio-first fiction series.
“I wanted to try something a little different with GLITCH”, says Sammie Eastwood, creator of the series. “Obsidian Elephant’s main focus is serialised fiction, so experimenting with short stories inside a larger ongoing world has been a fun challenge. This series gives listeners a taste of what we can do now, and where we’re heading as a studio”.
The trailer is already live, with new episode “batches” releasing monthly from 25 February.
