Personal Demon launches subscriber-only content exploring the world beyond the main story, released during season breaks and designed for listeners who want to sink deeper into the existing universe.

From the very beginning, Personal Demon: A YA Horror Series has been designed as a long-running, audio-first narrative universe. One with a deep lore, hundreds of characters and a host of stories to tell under one expansive umbrella.
That’s why starting from Season 2, we’re introducing subscriber-only content that expands this horror-filled universe beyond the main series. This will be a collection of mini-arcs that live alongside the main show, expanding the world without altering its core story, allowing fans to learn more about their favourite characters and the lore unique to this series.
So, let's take a look at the Personal Demon expanded universe.
What you can expect from this new content
These paid subscriber-only releases are extra-curricular by design. They explore corners of the universe we don’t always have time to visit in the main storyline:
Side stories following secondary or off-screen characters
Mini-arcs that explore past events, parallel moments or the aftermath of big events
Lore expansions that deepen the rules, history and texture of the world
Think of them as narrative satellites, stories that orbit the main series rather than sit inside it. They’re made for listeners who love to theorise, re-listen and ask “what else is happening out there?” while engaging with the show.
What this content is not
Before anyone panics, absolutely none of this exclusive content will be required listening.
If you only ever listen to the free, public episodes of Personal Demon, you can still understand all major plot points, follow every important character arc, and get to experience the main storylines exactly as we have intended them.
The main show will never hide essential story beats, reveals or resolutions behind the exclusive paywall. That’s a creative and ethical line we’re committed to holding. This subscriber content will only ever exist to expand the story, not to withhold important beats.
How does this look in terms of the show?
I’m glad you asked.
These exclusive releases are structured around the natural rhythm of the show, meaning you can expect new subscriber content:
During the mid-season break (between Episodes 9 and 10)
After each season finale, during the season break
And there may also be surprise drops (so keep an eye out to learn more)
This works out to roughly one exclusive drop every month and a half, released during moments when the main feed is intentionally quiet. For listeners, that means something new to explore while you wait. For the story, it means space to experiment without disrupting momentum or confusing storylines.
Why we’re doing it this way
From a studio perspective, this model lets us do a few important things well:
Support the long-term production of our serialised audio fiction properties
Take creative risks without overloading the main narrative
Build a deeper, more coherent IP universe over time
Respect both casual listeners and dedicated fans
For creators and industry peers, this approach reflects how we think about audio storytelling. As a medium capable of scale, nuance and longevity when it’s structured with intention.
How to listen
At launch, all subscriber-only content is available natively through RedCircle, where paid listeners can access both the main show and exclusive releases in one place. However, we’re actively exploring expansion to additional platforms in the future, and we’ll share updates as that evolves.
An invitation, not an obligation
If you’re a fan of the show, and want to help support us, this new content allows you to learn more about the characters you love and experience deeper cuts of the story.
But remember, if you’re only here for the main narrative, nothing changes. You won’t miss out on important storylines or character developments, which will always remain on the main feed and available to everyone.
If you’re a fellow creator, producer or studio watching our show is evolving, we hope this offers a useful (and honest) model for what’s possible.
As always, thanks for listening and supporting this podcast.
